Wheeeee---these were fun.
Bookmarks that I will have on sale at the convention. Anyone going to Animethon who has played Castle Chase? If so, well, you can pick up one of these bookmarks from the series.

Really, I wanted something Castle Chase to see if anyone will recognize the characters. There has to be SOMEONE in the Edmonton area who played Castle Chase, right? :/

Anyway, I used this as an excuse to try a style I've always loved. It was fun. : D These will be the only three at the con, but maybe I'll do the other characters someday. : )

I saw this on the blog first, the posts are 2 months apart. FINALLY something else CC related for me to anticipate the Hahm Sammich that is to come at the end even moreso. I did a version of Logelin castle in my RMVX using the RTP and some modifications to the tileset. It looks pretty alright, once I have it finalised I will post it up on DA for yourself and Rach.

I love the layout and style you used for them - they look so pretty!! You should write the website for CC on the back so all the passer-bys who by them from sheer pretty can find the game =D

I will certainly feed the website to anyone who buys one. I don't really want to write it on the back (and can't really, aly is doing all the printing and laminating xD )
But I'll probably try to make enough little cards with the website on it to give out with them. Or something.

Thank you very much. :) I had a ton of fun with the layout here~ And a lot of stress because I am simply horrible at working with circles.

I need to draw flowers more often. Why are flowers so fun?

XD awesome - feed some ED while you're at it ^.~

I'm not sure why flowers are so fun, probably because they look so pretty once you're done. *nods* Except I'm not very good at them so mine don't look quite so pretty upon completion XD

These are very classy! Yay for CC fanart. x) The colors and styles are very well done--Monica is my favorite. The colors just -work- and it's very ornate and pretty and stuff D: Lame comment is lame, but the art is not!

Monica is my favourite too. I think having the flowers in her hair really helped bring that one together. I did debate putting flowers in the guys' hair too but--that probably wouldn't be the best idea. xD

Thank you for the not-lame comment~!

Thank you very much~

Just keep on drawing! A style isn't born overnight. It'll happen, and you won't even realize it at first. :D It'll just happen.

Well I have this weird ability to copy almost any style I see... that's why I don't have a style for my own. I choose from one of the ones I'm able to do for each picture... All my friends say it's cool but I think it's annoying :/ That's why I have no style for my own :/

I started out copying styles too. It's a great place to start. Overtime, all the different styles I copied lent their favourites parts to me and slowly developed into my own style. Even now, I still try out things I see in other styles and if there are ways to incorporate them into mine.
Try drawing something without using any other artwork as a reference, just remember what you liked drawing best from other things. The more you do that, the more your own style will start to grow.

Everyone starts out copying art I think. Whether they are copying the works of their favourite artists or copying something they saw in nature or copying a building structure, etc--they are all copying and getting inspiration from around them. Overtime though, it will turn into their own style. I hope that makes sense. n.n

I really like the style these are done in. Now I want to do something like that, haha. Is there a specific inspiration you got for the general design?

Thank you very much!

I did a google image search for "art nouveau" since that is what I always see the style being called. There's a lot of really amazing stuff that comes up. Google image search is my best friend for inspiration. :D

I think something in this style with your art would be really pretty. : ) I hope you do give it a try~

Thanks again, Rye! :)
